No, it doesn’t even come close to refuting the claim of Evolution. People who claim that do not understand evolution, or the Cambrian explosion at all. The Cambrian explosion is just a name given for the *rapid* generation of new species that occurred about 540 million years ago … but this means *rapid* in geological terms, which is still incredibly slow in *human* terms. All that happened was that life discovered a number of fundamentally different body plans and niches at a rate that was faster than the rather constant and slow rate at which fossils are created. This happened within the course of a few million years, which is extremely rapid in geological terms … but a few million years is still a *long* time in human terms. It is all *fully* explained by evolutionary theory. Read this, and then ask questions. Don’t just rely on a paragraph or two in some Creationist sites … at least understand what the scientists are saying about it before reaching a conclusion:
