Does the Building Department provide pre-sale inspections?

Not as such; however, a property owner or his/her agent may apply for a certificate of inspection, which is a statement that the property is in substantial compliance with the Building and Zoning codes for the current use as of the date of the inspection, or a list of Building or Zoning Code violations found on the date of the inspection. The Certificate of Inspection will not address incidental items nor make or offer judgments regarding the condition or serviceability of the building: portions of the building or equipment within the building beyond that which is a violation of the code.
