Does the Brushed Stainless surface on The Midtown tray scratch?
Yes. The Midtowns surface does scratch, as does all brushed stainless. On a brushed stainless surface the grain goes in one direction, hence the name “brushed.” So, in the course of normal use, when something leaves a little scratch in any other direction than the brushed direction, it catches the light. If your Midtown tray is used and loved, as we hope it will be, then the tiny scratches and marks from use will create a unique surface patina reflecting its years of being a beautiful part of your life.
