Does the Brett Favre-Minnesota marriage work or does it ruin Brad Childress’ future?
Despite all the controversy surrounding his return, it is going to work. Remember, the Vikings don’t have many weaknesses. In fact, the only real weakness is at quarterback. They have a great running back and a pretty good defense. Favre just has to be better than either Sage Rosenfels or Tarvaris Jackson. He will be. Healthy or not; washed up or not, he represents Minnesota’s best chance to win. And, I’ve been around the guy long enough to know how motivated he will be (especially since he gets a chance to stick it to the Packers). He will come through and lead the Vikings deep into the playoffs. Very deep. Burning Question #3: Do the Patriots return to glory with Tom Brady? Not for nothing, but they went 11-5 without the guy last season. They were knocked out of playoff contention because the Dolphins had a gimmick offense that threw everyone off balance. The wildcat is now on tape. It won’t surprise anyone anymore. And, Brady’s back. They are one of the favorites to win the AFC. Bur
