Does the BRC support 44.1kHz?

0

The BRC can operate at 44.1kHz only by pitching down -147 steps. Once the BRC reaches 147 cents, the display will read “44.1.” To record or playback at 44.1 kHz on an XT which is controlled by a BRC, despite the fact the XT has its own 44.1 switch, the system still must be pitched down at the BRC to -147 cents. The XT’s “48 k” indicator will blink, but it is working at 44.1. SMPTE is another matter. The BRC generates “slow” SMPTE while pitched down to 44.1; some connected devices may have a problem with this while others (most digital mixers) will not. It cannot be a SMPTE time code slave at 44.1 kHz. For this application, we recommend the M20 instead.
