A. No, the Board does not maintain a list of approved continuing education courses/programs. Regulations provide that acceptable CEU courses are approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC), and courses determined and approved by the Board to meet professional standards of massage therapists and practitioners. Contact professional massage organizations as well as massage schools and community colleges that have massage programs to get a list of massage related CEU courses. Also, keep in mind that the subject or modality being taught must be within the scope of practice for CMTs and RMPs.
