Warranty Direct’s Managing Director, Duncan McClure-Fisher, has this to say about the importance of covering cylinder heads, “One of the most common claims we see is related to overheating. If you think about the last 3 cars you have seen broken down on the roadside, the chances are at least one of them was due to overheating. When a car overheats, the cylinder head is almost always damaged as a result. But because it is an un-insured part in many policies, and not the cause of the break down, most other companies won’t pay out on it.
