Does the Blade Covers vertical mast have to be bolted to the floor?

A. No. The base of the mast has a floor plate that can be bolted to the floor if desired. However, this is not necessary. The vertical mast is attached to the edge of the saw table and an adjustable brace, from the bottom of the mast to the back edge of the saw’s table, keeps the mast stable and in position. Optional casters are available that can be fitted to the base of the mast to allow moving the table saw with the blade cover remaining attached.
