The word proskuneo is translated as worship (when used with reference to Jehovah) 22 times in the Society’s New World Translation. The same word when used with reference to Christ is translated “obedience,” “reverence,” and “homage.” The Bible clearly teaches the worship of Jesus, but the Society in an effort to obscure this fact has avoided the ususal and normal translation of proskuneo. • 7D.
