Does the battery gauge work in simulation mode?

Yes. Note for GPS-100 and GPS-200 models: Since the unit is in simulation mode, it is not actively searching for satellites. When the unit is not active the gauge is not updated. Pressing any button will refresh the battery gauge reading.
