Does the base phone have to be electrically plugged into a wall outlet?

I want to put this on the wall where a previous built-in outlet is but there is no electrical connection nearby. I need the large numbers and screen. This looks like a fit for me if it DOES NOT have to be electrically plugged in. Thank you!
