“The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a Final Rule requiring all manufacturers to phase out CFCs in albuterol containing products by December 31, 2008. “In fact, the U.S. is currently the only country that continues to use CFC albuterol inhalers. Every albuterol inhaler used in the United States must use an environmentally friendly propellant by the end of December 31, 2008.
