ASEMS are Business Instructions which need to be followed by all IPT’s in order to comply with Policy. POSMS and POEMS introduce no new Policy, although they do introduce consistency in the content, construction and deliverables from IPT Safety and/or Environmental Management Systems. Some existing Business Procedures (such as Eng Pol BP1201) or CDPIs are now obsolete as a result of the introduction of the new requirements.
