Does the Asbury Park Public Library accept donated materials and if so, what standards apply?
The entire collection is comprised of publications donated by Springsteen fans in the United States and abroad. We continue to rely on the generosity of donors to expand our historic holdings and obtain current publications as they become available. The collection is in need of any materials of the types described above which contain significant content about Bruce Springsteen’s life and career. The collection is maintained through the good work and cooperation of the staff at the Asbury Park Public Library. The library has to consider budget restrictions, space limitations, lack of dedicated staffing for the collection, and other factors. Therefore the collection does not include material such as loose newspaper or magazine clippings, CDs, LPs, 7″ singles, videos, DVD or Springsteen material in other non-print formats.
