No, the ARRT does not limit the number of CE credits earned through directed readings and home-study programs; however, certain state agencies may. For example, currently the state of Texas will allow technologists and limited operators to earn only half (50%) of their required CE credit through directed readings and home-study programs. The remainder must be obtained via “live programs.” For specific information about state limitations, we suggest you contact your state radiation control certification coordinator.
