Does the aquarium donate tickets to nonprofit organizations for fundraising events?
Because the Aquarium is itself a nonprofit organization, our board of trustees has established the following ticket donation guidelines: 1. Your organization must be a nonprofit and must be using the Aquarium tickets as a fundraising item. 2. Your organization must be located in Monterey, Santa Cruz or San Benito County. 3. If you’re outside our local area, you must first secure a donation of an overnight stay on the Monterey Peninsula. The overnight stay donation can be from a hotel, a motel, a bed-and-breakfast or a private vacation home in Marina, Seaside, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel or Carmel Valley. 4. You must submit your request in writing on your organization’s letterhead. The letter must include: A. Your nonprofit tax ID number B. A description and date of the event C. An explanation of how the proceeds from the fundraiser will be used. 5. If you’re required to secure a donation of an overnight stay in the Monterey Peninsula, enclose a copy of the accommodation’s gift cert

You must submit your request online using your organization’s letterhead. The letter must include: A. Your nonprofit tax ID number B. A description and date of the event C. An explanation of how the proceeds from the fundraiser will be used 4. We need to receive all this information at least one month prior to the event in order to consider your request. 5. We donate tickets once per year per organization. 6.
