Does the anthropic principle prove the existence of god?
The anthropic principle at base is circular reasoning. It is “proof” of nothing other than one possible way of interpreting what is observed – and with hazy criteria at that. Ultimately, the anthropic principle says that if things were different, they would not be as they are just now. To maintain that the oft-paraded menu of constants describes the only possible universe is argument from ignorance, as egregious a logical fallacy as circular reasoning.
