Does the American Red Cross accept in-kind donations?
The American Red Cross does not accept small items such as clothing, shoes, and bedding. Donations of such items need to be sorted, cleaned and warehoused, which impedes the process of providing relief to disaster victims. Bulk items, such as pallets of shampoo or 100 cases of toothpaste, are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in donating bulk items, please e-mail us.
