Yes, it really does hover. The Vectron Wave is perfect for wintertime. This Air Hogs model is designed to be used indoors, with only your hand or a flat surface to operate it on. Being just a tad smaller than a stack of schoolbooks but weighing less than a pound, it’s perfectly sized for school-aged children. The Vectron has special sensors that allow it to hover continuously and be handled by children. Just take it out of the box, throw 6 “AA” batteries into the controller, turn both on, and it will hover over any flat surface. It has special ground sensors that allow it to detect proximity to the ground and continue to hover. For special interaction with this hovercraft, use your hand. Normally, The Vectron Wave will just hover above a floor, or table. But, while it is hovering over a flat surface, slip the palm of your hand between it and the floor; it will now react to your hand. By moving your hand up, down or sideways, you can make the craft rise higher, drop, or move sideways. O
