Does the agreement stipulate that UMCOR be fully informed of Muslim Aid’s sources of funding for any joint projects?
Both organizations are committed to full transparency as we identify funds for our work together. Q) Christians in countries like Sudan and Indonesia face discrimination from the local populations at times, what is UMCOR doing to address this issue and how do you think your partnership with Muslim Aid will help? A) It’s a sad truth that religious intolerance exists, which further drives us at UMCOR to carry our message that people of all religions deserve aid and compassion when faced with some of the worst atrocities and disasters. Humanity transcends religion and our desire is for this Muslim Aid partnership to be a great catalyst for religious tolerance. UMCOR honors cultural differences and this relationship with Muslim Aid will only further demonstrate that Muslims and Christians and all other religions can not only harmoniously work together, but share a common good. Muslim Aid and UMCOR deliver aid to people without regard to race, religion, politics or gender.
