Does the admissions application list all of Dardens available private scholarships?
All of that is listed on the Web site. The paper-based admissions application simply indicates that all scholarship information is available and automatically sent out once the application arrives at our office. The first of January is when the FAFSA [Free Application for Federal Student Aid] forms are sent out. Let’s talk about students who are coming in with spouses and significant others. You said that you tier some of your aid to students based upon their residency. Is marital status another factor that you look into when deciding how much aid to bestow upon a person? It is. We look upon spouses, children, or dependents — as long as they are going to be living here in Charlottesville with the student — as necessary increases to the student budget. As such, we will also look at any contributions from a spouse towards that student budget.
