Does the Act apply to municipalities, post-secondary institutions, and hospitals?
Yes, by October 1, 1999, the Act will apply to school boards, universities, colleges, regional health boards, hospitals, nursing homes, other health facilities, municipalities, police commissions, and other local government organizations. These types of public bodies are referred to as “local public bodies” and are detailed in the definitions of the Act.
