NO… Not all candles on the ‘store shelves’ containing metal wicks, are made/manufactured (factory assembled) in the United States!!! Many of them are from foreign manufacturer’s (those mass produced inexpensive imported varities that some of those large chain style stores ‘may’ be selling…), and the foreign countries do not have to ‘voluntarily’ pull LEAD CORE Metal Wicks from their production lines. Also, there is no law against a United States retail store to have them pull such products and/or to refuse to sell the imported candles, some of which ‘may’ have lead wicking. So, YOU the customer, should be aware of this when making your purchases, if it is a foreign made candle, and it has a metal core, it would be recommended you make sure it’s not a LEAD containing wick.
