Does TCs power cord work with a simple wall adapter or will it need a converter?

My TC came with a US power cord and I don’t see any options to buy a UK power cord separately. I’m afraid of blowing things up if I just plug this (non Mac-ish) power cord into a simple wall adapter w/o knowing for sure that it will work just like Mac power cords (which are totally universal and don’t need converters…just wall adapters).
