Does TBX1 use a ound robbin channel system for polyphonic output?
Yes. A dynamic channel allocation algorithm, or ’round robin’ system, is used for distributing retuned polyphonic voices over multiple channels while supporting sustain pedal functionality. There are 16 toggle switches which control the channels to be output from TBX1; for example, if switches 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are engaged and the others are disengaged, then TBX1 will output up to 5 voices polyphonically only on channels 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. This is very useful when working with sequencing programs or when multiple controllers are connected to a given tone module.
