In its standard configuration, TalkBroadband does NOT work in a power outage. If you require TalkBroadband to work during a power outage, we suggest you investigate the possibility of putting your broadband modem, any home routers and the TalkBroadband VoIP Gateway on a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) battery backup. Be aware that UPS battery backups do not last forever in a power outage. Your UPS vendor can help you determine the size of UPS you require.
