Does Susan have a background in education and / or experience handling rambunctious kids?
Yes! Susan has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Science from Portland State University; she is a T.E.F.L. Certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language; she has taught students of all ages (from kindergarteners to senior citizens!) at various private language institutes and public schools in South Korea; she has taught English and American Culture to Mexican Cultural Exchange Students at the San Antonio, Texas, Satellite Campus of La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (U.N.A.M. Mexico’s National University); and she has served as a classroom volunteer in her mother’s 4th/5th grade classroom at Troutdale Elementary in Troutdale, Oregon! Susan has a very diverse collection of experiences behind her, but working with children is a thread that can definitely be traced throughout her uniquely varied career!
