Yes, it can interoperate with third-party applications. The ISM schema has an open API that enables third-party analysis providers to synchronize their data with the Integrated Structural Modeling repository. If the third-party vendor has an open format or is willing to tie into the IFC repository using its own proprietary methods, those products should have no problem talking to Bentley products.
