Does stretching before/after running on a treadmill increase calf muscles?
Light stretching won’t cause you to build calf muscle. It just helps to reduce the likelihood of injury and decreases possibility of muscle paint due to a workout. You really shouldn’t stretch ‘cold’ muscles. If you run on a treadmill, you can walk for 5 minutes or so as a warm up, then stretch, then run. Or you can just stretch out after the run.
