Does steelwork (columns, beams, etc) in boundary wall condition require full protection?
The fire resistance requirements of the wall may change according to the requirements of Building Regulations Approved Document B 2006, and particularly where the building wall is less than 1 metre from the boundary of the property. The requirements for the fire resistance criteria of the boundary wall must be ascertained in order to assess any additional requirements for the structural steel associated with the boundary wall.
