Does StayWell still need my Social Security number to participate?

0

StayWell implemented a change during 2008 so that members concerned about inputting their Social Security number on line can provide only 6 digits, not the full number. This much is necessary because the only unique identifier that UC maintains for all employees, retirees, and their family members is the Social Security number (SSN). The StayWell website is personalized for each individual member, and this partial number is needed to identify the individual the first time he/she logs in to the website. Once the individual is identified as eligible to participate, he/she will be able to create his/her own username and password for all future log-ins and will not have to enter part of their SSN again.
