Does stainless steel rust?
Stainless steels are characterized by a high content of Nickel, that helps form a protective coating on the surface against corrosion as experienced by iron and steel. However there are some conditions under which stainless steels can corrode. These include situations where water rich in chlorides is stagnant on the surface for an extended period of time. This situation would not apply to the Zojila drainboard since it does not collect water. In rare cases, certain minerals in the water can cause the formation of brown spots on the surface. These are not rust spots, but deposits which can be easily removed if cleaned promptly. The cleaner ‘Zud’ is found to be effective in removing these brown spots.
