Does SSC pick-up garbage, recycling and FoodPlus! Recycling on holidays?
Yes, SSC crews work all holidays. If your collection day falls on a holiday, please set out your garbage, recycling and/or FoodPlus! Recycling (if you subscribe to that service) the night before, or by no later than 6:30 AM on your collection day. Collection can happen a bit earlier that usual on holidays due to lighter traffic. Make sure to have your containers out on time so we don’t miss your pick-up! If windy, please place individual recycling bins on the ground rather than stacking and weigh down paper bins with a rock or brick to prevent wind-blown litter. To secure Toters (TM) during windy weather please place a rock or brick on Toter (TM) lid to prevent tipping. For more information, see the Holiday Collection section of the FAQ page.
