Does Spain allows dual nationality?
Spain stopped allowing dual citizenship in 2003. It used to be you could have both a US and a Spanish passport if you qualified for citizenship in both countries. Spain now requires you to surrender your American passport and denounce your citizenship to the USA to receive a Spanish passport. That is if you don“t already have a Spanish and an American passport. If you do, this would have had to happen before 2003, all you have to do is renew them without letting Spain know you also hold a US passport. All you have to do to become resident in Spain is to apply for a Visa to do so, you must have a company sponsoring you and attesting to your employment with them. If you become a resident in Spain you will be issued, what we know in the US, the equivalent of a green card. You do not lose your citizenship with this option.
