SWCC does offer the option of completing certain general education courses prior to being a student in the nursing program. The college refers to this as “pre-nursing.” If you choose to do this, you’re considered an arts and sciences student while completing the pre-nursing courses. Your course load will then be lighter (because you have a portion of the courses completed) when you become a student in the nursing program. Please see the course outline for specific courses that can be taken as a pre-nursing student.
