Does SOAR actively work with the institutions?
Yes! For many years, SOAR has worked with Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and Northwestern University (NU) on an individual basis. In November 2006, a major step to build on these positive relationships was taken with the creation of the Streeterville Campus Planning Group (CamPlan). Comprised of representatives from SOAR, Children’s Memorial Hospital (CMH), Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), Northwestern University (NU), and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), CamPlan’s mission is “to strengthen community and institutional relationships by providing a forum to discuss, evaluate, and influence institutional growth, development, and maintenance plans from an overall campus perspective.” SOAR has great respect for each of these institutions, their unique and important missions, and the work they do. The group meets monthly, or more frequently as necessary.
