Does smoking inevitably lead to cancer?
Because it’s not proven that smoking actually causes cancer. There are plenty of research studies that have concluded a very strong link between smoking and cancer, but you can’t prove that it A causes B because everyone is different. Some people’s bodies take differently to the conditions you mentioned, leaving some unaffected while others may be more susceptible to developing something. Whenever you’re testing something, researchers usually have an idea of how it will turn out. Of course, there will always be subjects who don’t produce the results you might expect and the only way to explain it is variability in your subjects.
