Yes. You will need an SMS compatible phone. You will need to select a Smart Rate plan that includes text (sms) messaging. To send a text message you will dial the area code + number. You may receive an error when attempting to send a text to someone that does not have text messaging as part of their service. Click here for DIY troubleshooting.
