Yes, there are three kinds of slaves that come to mind: 1. Sex slaves/Human Trafficking 2. Cults 3. Indentured Servants. They are extremely prevalent in Brazil, and probably the closest thing to the kind of slaves you’re thinking of. Basically, they live with the boss. The boss pays their living exepenses if they will work for him. However, the living expenses cost more than the pay the workers are recieving, so the workers are perpetually in debt to the boss. Than means that they cannot stop working for him, or else they can be criminally charged for not paying him back for the living expenses they owe.
