Does Shogun loss expose corruption in the UFC?
This is probably the fifth time I’ve written this in the past three days: the UFC doesn’t provide the judges for their events. The local State Athletic Commission does. In this case, it was the California SAC. They also provide the refs, doctors, and other officials. The fact that the president of the UFC has quite vocally disagreed with the decision should be enough for people to realize that the UFC itself had nothing to do with it. Shogun’s loss exposes the lack of quality officials in the sport of MMA. Anytime Cecil Peoples judges a match, you know you’re in for a surprise. I just have no idea how all three judges gave it to Machida. Incidentally, Shogun landed far more shots than Machida did: http://compustrike.com/stats_files/ufc_1… http://www.fightmetric.
look at the compustrike machida did not hit him 3 imes for every leg kick Shogun landed 82 strikes out of 149. Lyoto landed 42 strikes out of 116.
