Does SGS offer professional skills development for grad students?
Yes. GPS, the Graduate Professional Skills program, is a non-academic program that provides doctoral stream students a range of opportunities for professional skills development. GPS helps graduate students acquire skills in addition to those conventionally learned within their disciplinary program. GPS aims to ensure that our graduates can communicate effectively, plan and manage their own time, be entrepreneurial, understand and apply ethical practices and work effectively in teams and as leaders. Students successfully completing the GPS will receive a notation on their transcripts.
