Yes. If you use the “-r” option to automatically download a catalog, you must set an environment variable for the ftp proxy to get through the firewall. export ftp_proxy=://address:port Example: export ftp_proxy=http://myproxy.mynet.com:8088 To download a catalog from an HP ftp site you must have ftp access to the public Internet, either directly or through a proxy server. HP has tested using a web proxy server which proxies ftp via http; the LWP Perl package used by security_patch_check works with additional proxy types, but they are not supported for use with security_patch_check.
