Does Section 508 require the provision of alternative formats?
Yes, alternative formats of procured EIT product information, product instructions and user guides must be made available at no additional charge and only upon request. Alternate formats or methods of communication, can include Braille, cassette recordings, large print, electronic text, Internet postings, TTY access, and captioning and audio description for video materials. The EIT product materials are provided in an alternative format so that they meet the individual needs of the person with a disability.
