While the matter of determining the best Saturday Night Live skits of the year ultimately comes down to a matter of opinion, we here at Vulture also think it’s worthwhile to break down the season in a less subjective manner. Hence we would like to present you with some numerical analysis we’ve done about the show’s 34th season, covering everything from which cast members did most of the heavy lifting on the show (on-screen, not off) to which real-life celebrities and politicians SNL targeted the most. While it would not have been technically impossible to collect all of this data on our own, we would like to tip our cap to the good people over at the SNL Archives for being such an amazing repository of information about the show.
