Does salvation army thrift stores drug test before hiring?
I worked for almost a year at a store in Mississippi. The manual stated that the policy was to drug test employees (already hired) who showed signs of being under the influence, with nothing about a preliminary test. I’m pretty sure that reflects the official policy (at least for the southeast, probably nationally). But I’m also pretty certain that an individual manager or director could decide to drug test at his or her discretion. They do do background checks.
