Does salt water expand more than normal water when frozen?
when water freezes it does so as pure water and excludes solutes from the crystals so ocean water would not expand more because the salt would wind up in the water below the ice in a restricted container such as an ice cube tray the salt would be excluded but trapped in the mass of ice contributing a small amount of increased volume
