Does Saint Germain Great Danes require spay/neuter agreements?
No, we don’t. However, all dogs sold as pet quality will be sold with limited registration. What this means is that any dogs that might be bred from a dog with limited registration will not be registerable with the AKC. A Dane is a very large responsibility. We believe that you, as a prospective owner, have the dog’s welfare foremost in mind and can be trusted to take care of a member of our extended family. Of course, you have to trust the breeder to be honest about the dog, its health, its heritage, and anything else that might be a cause for concern. You should also trust your breeder to provide helpful advice after the dog joins your home, to help you provide a better home for it, and to honor all guarantees made, such as our two-year health guarantee. We recommend that dogs that are not going to be bred or shown be sterilized for improved health and longevity.
