Does Russ need students to present permission slips to be volunteers?
No. Absolutely not. In fact, Russ Peak discourages the use of permission slips or pre-show sign ups to become a volunteer. First, it destroys the credibility of the hypnosis show – if volunteers are not brought randomly from the audience, the show looses a lot of its excitement. Second, and almost more importantly, when volunteers are pre-selected or allowed to participate only with signed permission slips – nine times of of ten we end up with a show with only a dozen available volunteers. Unfortunately, that’s just not enough.
