Does running at lower intensity burn fat more quickly?
When running at a low intensity, most of your energy comes from fat and some of it comes from glucose (carbs). For example, at a low intensity 75% of your energy is from fat and 25% of your energy is from carbs. At a high intensity, it is opposite, 75% of your energy is from carbs and 25% is from fat. The bottom line is that you shouldn’t worry about what you are burning between fat and carbohydrates. It all comes down to if you are burning more calories than you are eating.
