A. Fathers may attend some parenting groups offered at Rose of Durham, prenatal classes as a ‘coach’, and the drop-in program. In addition, Rose of Durham has recently (October 2008) launched the program ‘Just for Dads’. Q. Should I bring anyone else with me to Rose of Durham? A. If you would like to bring a friend, parent or other relative with you for your first counselling appointment, you may. The counsellor will meet with you, separately, first and then your friend/relative may join you. For prenatal classes, you may bring a partner/coach. Q. I just want to attend drop-in programs. Is that okay? A. Rose of Durham has much to offer (prenatal, school, individual support, parenting groups, workshops) We support the client’s decision to attend (or not attend) what they choose. At intake, you can discuss your needs with your counsellor.
